Two-Stage Ammonia Refrigeration System
Two-stage ammonia compression coupled with variable speed drives on one low temperature and one high temperature reciprocating compressor offers unrivaled energy efficiency. Direct expansion further enhances the proposed design with low ammonia charge, absence of liquid ammonia re-circulation pumps, small pipe diameters and highest energy efficiency.
